PzF Antithrombotic Coatings for Blood-Contacting Medical Devices

Alta Biomed helps medical device companies evaluate, develop, and test PzF thin-film antithrombotic coatings for vascular and other blood-contacting devices.

Surface Technology for Blood-Contacting Devices

Blood-contacting medical devices require careful attention to surface chemistry, coating integrity, particulate risk, and hemocompatibility. Alta Biomed supports medical device developers with PzF coating technology and testing services designed for vascular, catheter-based, implantable, and other blood-contacting applications.

Our work helps customers evaluate whether PzF surface modification is feasible for their device, how the coating performs after handling or simulated use, and how coated and uncoated devices compare in development-stage blood-contacting test models.

Polyzene-F NanoCoating

Distinct froPolyzene-F, also known as PzF, is Alta Biomed’s thin-film polymer coating technology for medical device surface modification. PzF can be evaluated on a range of vascular and blood-contacting devices where surface chemistry, thrombus formation, coating integrity, and hemocompatibility are important development considerations.

PzF coating programs are device-specific and may include surface preparation, coating application, coating inspection, simulated use evaluation, acute particulate testing, and coated vs. uncoated human blood loop testing.
